New York, New York

Choosing my first stop as the Timeshare Ambassador was a no brainer. The city that never sleeps, the Big Apple, "If I can make it here…" well, you get the picture. They don't call this the greatest city in the world for nothing. You know they got a fella over in Times Square who stands out in the street playing a guitar wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and his tighty whities? They call him the Naked Cowboy, and man he must be cold! Hope he doesn't break a g-string, if you know what I mean. And how about this $175 hamburger at The Wall Street Burger Shoppe? Are you kidding me?! You gotta love New York. I know I do.

During my stay here in Gotham I will be renting a timeshare at the Manhattan Club on W. 56th Street. This is a first class experience from the moment you enter the front door: concierge staff, private lounge, fitness center, business center, valet parking, wood paneled and marbled lobby, the works. It's no wonder it is a perennial favorite among RedWeek.com owners and travelers alike. Some of our reviewers feel the units are a bit smaller than what they have experienced at other resorts, and I'd have to agree. But in Manhattan it's all about "location, location, location," and this one is 5-stars in my book. Fifty feet in any direction from the front door, and you are in a "New York State of Mind," whatever that means.

If you haven't yet made plans for Spring Break, New York is especially beautiful this time of year. I see right now on RedWeek.com, you can rent a timeshare at the Manhattan Club for as little as $186 a night. If you are looking to buy, resale units start for as little as $3,000.

Well, I'm gonna "Take the A Train" on down to Kat'z Deli on Houston St. I hear they've got a pastrami sandwich the size of a throw pillow, and you know I'm gonna get involved with one of those. I wonder if they'll give me a T-shirt if I finish it?
